Ecotopic Pregnancy Diagnosis Symptoms And Complications

Ecotopic pregnancy is very dangerous complication of pregnancy. In ecotopic pregnancy the fertilized ovum settles and starts growing in the fallopian tubes contrary to the normal uterus lining. Almost 98% ecotopic pregnancies are tubal in nature. This is a clinical emergency and if not attended immediately may cost the life of pregnant mother.

Ecotopic pregnancy is a very fatal condition of the pregnant woman. In spite of the advancement in the field of obstetrics it still contributes to the cause of mortality and morbidity of pregnant women. In the recent decades there has been many fold increase in the incidence

of ecotopic pregnancy but its mortality has very much decreased the advancement in ultrasonography and tansvaginla imaging has greatly improved the diagnostic capability at an early stage . Its early diagnosis helps to reduce the risk of death of the mother. Its incidence is one in three hundred pregnancies. The chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is said to be the major cause of this abnormality. Pelvic inflammatory disease which is also called PID increases the risk of ecotopic pregnancy by ten fold. PID disease is gonorrheal in nature and origin .After the marriage the woman starts having constant pain and soreness in the pelvic region of his abdomen. The gonorrheal poison is transferred to woman by her husband. When after marriage the woman starts having many uterine diseases than husband is the real culprit. The gonorrheal poison in spite of the penicillin injections and the usage of other strong anti biotic never leaves man in entirety. It is hereditary in nature. The growth of warts on our body parts are the direct outcome of this latent hereditary poison Dr Hahnemann the great genius calls this latent condition of the gonorrheal poison as psychosis. It is one of the great miasm of homoeopathy.

An ecotopic pregnancy is that clinical condition in which pregnancy occurs outside of the uterus. In normal pregnancy the fertilized egg is implanted in the uterus on the sixth day of fertilization. The fertilization of egg and ovum generally and normally occurs in fallopian tubes. From there the fertilized egg moves to uterus to be implanted in the uterus. In uterus it grows and develops as embryo till delivery. In ecotopic pregnancy the fertilized

ovum is implanted out side the uterus in the fallopian tubes or it settles and grows any where other than the lining of the uterus. And there it starts growing and developing. In more than fifty percent of cases the fertilized ovum is implanted in ampulla of fallopian tubes. More than 98%pregnancies are tubal pregnancies and occur in the fallopian tubes .However, they can occur in other locations, such as the ovary, cervix, and abdominal cavity. It may be remembered that twenty percent of tubal pregnancies may terminate into spontaneous absorption Loss of cilia of the lining epithelium and impairment of muscular peristalsis is the second major cause of ecotopic pregnancy. Third reason may be cited as narrowing of the lumen the tubal canal
.
Diagnosis

Pelvic ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound are the only reliable means to establish and confirm the occurrence of ecotopic pregnancy.

Symptoms

The symptoms of ecotopic pregnancy are almost same as of the miscarriage or threatened abortion. The classical symptoms of both threatened abortion and ecotopic pregnancy are amenorrhea, abdominal pains and cramps and vaginal bleeding. If any such emergency occurs, medical help should be sought immediately before developing further complications.

Risk factors
